Contact Lenses Today Fitting Tip of the Month
Choosing the Right Lens for the Patient
Today's clinicians and patients alike are faced with an increasingly huge number of product alternatives in their shared search for the
"perfect" contact lenses. In our practice, keeping this quest successful and time-manageable is vitally dependent upon ensuring that our triage, scheduling and contact lens technical staff members
- the people who are usually the first to discuss contact lens options with our patients
- remain current in their knowledge about the latest and the greatest designs.
To do this, we make it easy to stay up-to-date on the best innovations by providing our staff with a one-page, monthly "scouting report" of what we deem will be the most important product introductions for our patient base as well as an ongoing, short list of our doctors preferred contact lens designs, organized by various categories of patient presentations.
Doing the advance groundwork of educating our patients through their interaction with well-informed staff members goes a long way toward facilitating the daily and never-ending process of choosing the right contact lenses for them in the examination room.
