Toric Soft Lens Tip
On occasion, a patient will report frequent blurred vision while reading with his toric lenses. The majority of the time, the patient is wearing a lens that uses prism ballast for rotational stability. While reading in down gaze, the lower lid affects the prism ballasting, causing the lens to rotate.
Using a lens with a dual thin zone or new Accelerated Stabilization Design may eliminate this unwanted rotation in down gaze.
