UV Blocking Contact Lenses

Prescribing an ultraviolet radiation (UVR) blocking contact lens is always going to be a good preventive practice but there are some that need this protection more than others. Apart from individuals spending considerable time outdoors, such patients include true aphakes, who lost their main ocular UVR filter, and people with pathologically (read keratoconus) or iatrogenically (read LASIK) thinned corneas.
