Fitting Tip of the Month
Matching New Materials and Contact Lens Care Products
Whenever you fit or refit a patient into silicone hydrogel contact lenses, always prescribe a lens care system to be used in conjunction with these lenses. By providing a sample from your office, patients will have immediate access to the solution, and therefore will likely start using the solution right away. Explain the importance of using the prescribed solution with these newer materials to reduce potential contact lens related problems. By educating patients in this manner, you will improve overall contact lens compliance and have a comfortable, happy patient!
