Meet Our Editor
Dr. Carla Mack, Editor of Contact Lenses Today and Contact Lens Spectrum
Dr. Carla Mack, editor of both Contact Lenses Today and
Contact Lens Spectrum, is currently serving as Associate Professor of Clinical Optometry at the Ohio State University (OSU). A 1995 cum laude graduate of the OSU College of Optometry, she completed a one-year hospital-based residency. Dr. Mack has worked and practiced in many settings, including ophthalmology and optometry practices, nursing homes, and as the Chief of the OSU Student Health Center Clinic. She has also served on and chaired several committees, including the ASCO Clinical Affairs Committee, the ASCO Clinic Directors/Administrators Group (chair-elect) and the college's Clinic Committee (chair). She is currently Director of Campus Optometry Services at OSU and a diplomate for the Section on Cornea and Contact Lenses of the American Academy of Optometry.
For more than two years Dr. Mack served as the first Clinical Columns Editor for
Contact Lens Spectrum. In addition, she has authored and coauthored articles and abstracts for numerous publications, including
Contact Lens Spectrum, Optometric Management and Optometry and Vision Science, and has presented at national vision care meetings, including the American Academy of Optometry (AAO), the East-West Eye Conference and the inaugural Global Keratoconus Congress. Her professional affiliations include the American Academy of Optometry, the American Optometric Association, the Ohio Optometric Association, Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honorary Fraternity, and the Association of Optometric Contact Lens Educators.
